FOOTBALL: Didcot buried by Pitmen
10:00am Monday 30th August 2010

Didcot Town 0 Hednesford Town 3 (Patterson 35, 63, Osbourne 43)
Didcot failed to build on their midweek victory against Bedford as they slumped to a 3-0 home reverse against Hednesford.
Early on in the Premier Division game, Hednesford’s Kyle Patterson went close, before Didcot keeper Sam Warrell blocked Alfie Carter.
Just after the half-hour mark, Hednesford took the lead when Mark Bellingham shot was cleared off the line by Jamie Heapy, only for Patterson to knock in the rebound.
Osborne doubled the visitors’ lead with a neat chip over Warrell.
In the second half, Didcot brought on Elliot Osborne-Ricketts to liven up their attacking prowess, but Hednesford still looked the more dangerous of the two sides and duly wrapped it up with a third goal just past the hour-mark when Patterson grabbed his second.
Late on, Michael Bartley played in James Mortimer-Jones, but he scuffed his effort horribly wide.
Didcot Tn: Warrell, Dutton-Black, Hopkins (Osborne-Ricketts 46), A Williams, Stanley, Gunn, Witt (Alexis 61), Heapy, Draycott (Bartley 71), Mortimer-Jones, M Williams.
Attendance: 191
